Open interfaces

The networking of different products and systems is becoming increasingly important, as it opens up many opportunities for all sectors involved. In keeping with this trend, Fronius has created all the documentation needed to integrate Fronius products into third-party systems and are available to download on the following pages. Fronius inverters feature various open hardware and software interfaces.

Fronius Solar API (JSON)

The Solar API is an open REST API that enables applications to read data directly from the inverter via the network. The inverter (or Datamanager 2.0) serves as the central communication unit and makes data such as power, voltage, current etc. available. Data from components connected to the inverter such as Smart Meter, Ohmpilot, String Control etc. can also be queried. All data is returned as JSON objects.
